About Spicy Tostada

Named after my original and iconic Twitter handle, Spicy Tostada started as a way for me to keep tweeting without actually opening or engaging with what was formerly Twitter. Now, Spicy Tostada has evolved to be a platform where I share some of my musings on my own life, memories, and dreams. Newsletter topics range from personal essays to random life updates to rants about the state of the world. All opinions are my own, except those I found on Instagram. I welcome comments, likes, and open conversations about any of the topics covered in the newsletter.

About Me

As a native South Texan navigating my twenties in NYC, I spend a lot of time walking in Prospect Park, reading fantasy fiction, and obsessing over my cats. I currently pay my rent as a university admin, but dream of one day opening a bookstore or running a writing workshop. I also dream of tending to my own Beatrix Potter-inspired garden and raising a bevy of quail, rabbits, and kittens. I try not to be so existential all the time but damn it’s hard not to. See what I’m reading on Storygraph and Goodreads or shoot me a message if you wanna talk books.
