Hi Critters, Thanks to everyone who sent me birthday wishes this week, y’all make my days shine a little brighter! This week has been a whirlwind because of that, but more so because February is one of the weirdest months of the year. February, as the shortest month and the home of cozy, warm Valentine’s Day, should be a month for fun and love and connection. But it’s also the last leg of winter, meaning that it’s cold, drowned in icy water, and unstable. It is always around my birthday that I feel my emotions start to dance, the craving for green leaves on the trees and warm, yellow sun becomes all I can think about. And pulling Spring out of March is like fishing out that one lipstick from your giant, over-stuffed tote bag, “Nope, not that one.” We should hibernate! Let us shirk our responsibilities and sleep to survive! And when the snow melts, we won’t go back to work, we’ll pluck berries off the vine and pop them into our mouth with juice-stained fingers, never to work again!
